We will be starting the year with a musical swing at St. Edwards with two special musical events this January. First up will be an ‘On the Edge’ live music special called Dancing Through the Fire, when Malcolm and members of his band will explore themes of journeying, pilgrimage and purification through music and sacrament. The songs will be drawn from Malcolm’s CD ‘Dancing Through the Fire’ which revisits images and motifs from Dante through the Medium of Rock, folk and Blues. On the Edge is a service rather than a concert so admission is of course free.
Then on January 17th 7pm we are lucky to have acclaimed Canadian singer songwriter Alana Levandoski, teaming up with Fiddle Champion and songwriter Braden Gates for a concert at the beginning of her european tour. Alena’s music combines poetry, spiritual insight and great musicianship, dont miss it. this concert begins her European tour, tickets on the door at £5
Alana is very well known on the Canadian folk music scene and it is well worth checking out her website or watching some of the documentary about her which has now been posted to youtube:
