The week commencing 11 November

Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. The day at St Edward’s will start with a Prayer Book communion service at 8.00 am. Then the 11.00 am service will be a special one for Remembrance Sunday, with readings, poems and prayers for the occasion. There will also be a special choir. Fraser will preach. The service will start slightly earlier than usual, at 10.58 am, so that we can keep the two minutes silence at 11.00 am.

At the 5.00 pm Eucharist Matt Russell will begin a series of sermons on new testament themes, talking this time about Abraham and Sarah as a model of waiting.

On Monday at 9.00 pm there will be a student-led Taize service.

On Wednesday (Nov 14th) at 8.00 pm there will be On The Edge, at which Malcolm will talk about Living With War: Remembrance through the eyes of Neil Young and others.

On Thursday at 12.30 pm, there will be the usual prayers for reconciliation and healing.

On Friday there will be a Prayer Book Communion service at 10.30 am, led by Alan Cole. The meditation group will meet at 5.30 pm.
