SEI Online Journal: This week the journal published an article by Joel Gillin, entitled “Sin and Socialism: Can They Be Reconciled?”.  The article can be viewed here. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in getting regular updates about new articles, please contact the Parish Administrator (stedwardsassistant@gmail.com) to be added to a separate SEI journal mailing list.

Church Lunch & APCM: Our annual church lunch will be held this Sunday (8 May), immediately following the 11am service, and we invite members of the congregation to bring food and/or drinks to share. Sandwiches and pastries will be provided. During the lunch we will also hold our APCM, for which we hope as many members of the congregation can stay as possible. Please find attached the reports for this year here – hard copies will also be available on the day, as will last year’s minutes and financials.

StED Talk: The St Edward’s Institute invites you to an exciting StED talk with Dr Matthew K. Johnson (University of Oxford) & Dr Rachel S. Robertson (University of Cambridge) at 5pm on Wednesday 11 May in St Edward’s Church. The talk is entitled “I Saw Data Fall Like Lightning: A Hamartiology of Algorithmic Bias” and will assess algorithms in light of Christian ethical principles. You can view further details and sign-up for free on our Eventbrite here.

Giving: As always we are grateful for all of your gifts! Offerings may still be given during this time via a basket collection during live services, Standing Orders, or one time bank transfer, via BACS [SORT: 20-17-19 / ACCT #: 30851477 – “St Edwards Church Vestry Fund”]
