On Saturday evening at 6.30 pm there will be a contemplative Eucharist at St Edward’s, with much silence. All are welcome. The service will be attended by members of the Rudolf Steiner community in Cambridge
Next Sunday (June 24th) will begin with the usual Prayer Book service of Holy Communion at 8.00 am
The 11.00 am service will be a family service on the theme ‘All God’s Creatures’. We especially welcome families with young children. All are very welcome to bring (controllable) animals with them to be blessed. Children who wish can go out for activities for part of the service. Fraser will preach, and focus on the Christian basis for animal welfare.
The 5.00 pm Eucharist will be a special Corporate Communion, the one Sunday evening Eucharist in the year when we especially invite those who often come in the morning to come to the evening Eucharist. The focus will be on the birth of John the Baptist, a feast that has long been linked to mid-summer. Malcolm will preach. There will be refreshments and entertainment after the service at Queens.
On Tuesday at 5.30 pm Malcolm will continue his series of talks on Core Themes in St John’s gospel, talking this well about ‘glory’
On Wednesday at 8.00 pm there is On The Edge, at which Fraser will talk on ‘Spirituality and the Body’
On Thursday at 12.30 pm there will be lunchtime prayers. At 9.15 pm there will be a Taize service, led by Patrick McKearney.
On Friday there will be a Prayer Book Communion service at 10.30 am, and the meditation group will meet at 5.30 pm, led by Fraser.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Edward’s.
